BetBlocker surpasses 20,000 active users in Brazil
UK-based responsible gambling tool BetBlocker has reached over 20,000 active users in Brazil since the start of 2025.
The company has also reported that Brazil is now its fastest-growing market by a wide margin.
The BetBlocker app works on many platforms and helps users limit access to regulated and unregulated gambling platforms.
Users have a choice of continuous restrictions or schedule-specific blocking times, aiming to control gambling addictions and take control over their access.
BetBlocker expanded into the US market earlier this year as part of its international growth plan. Its US platform is a registered 501(c) non-profit in Delaware and provides English, Spanish, and Mandarin support.
The announcement of BetBlocker’s milestone comes as industry figures call for more certainty in the Brazilian gaming market. There are concerns that Brazilian players don’t know the difference between legal and illegal operators and that there are continuing legal challenges to Brazilian gambling.
The regulated Brazilian online gambling market launched at the start of 2025, with several notable operators launching, including Betsson and Estrelabet.
