DigiPlus expands livestream bingo suite with Bingo Speed launch
Philippine online gaming operator DigiPlus Interactive has expanded the live bingo range on its BingoPlus platform with the launch of Bingo Speed, a new digital bingo game that gives shorter rounds and faster gameplay.
According to DigiPlus, the new game is based on the traditional bingo-hall format but has been adapted for online play, featuring one- to two-minute rounds, automated card marking, and faster number draws.
The operator noted that the game had been designed to give a faster-paced alternative to its current livestream bingo products while retaining the core bingo mechanic. DigiPlus added that Bingo Speed includes extra interactive features that they say will increase player engagement during each round.

“Bingo Speed shows our commitment to continuous innovation, harnessing technology and creativity to always bring fresh and engaging experiences to Filipino players,” said DigiPlus President Ping Chen.“We are proud to continue expanding our product suite with culturally resonant offerings that elevate how Filipinos connect and play.”
Bingo Speed joins the operator’s existing portfolio of bingo and arcade-style games on the BingoPlus platform, including Bingo Mega, Pinoy Drop Ball, and Pinoy Drop Ball Turbo. The launch forms part of DigiPlus’ broader strategy of expanding its digital gaming portfolio by adapting established game formats for online audiences.
As DigiPlus continues to expand its gaming offerings, the group is also looking to bounce back from a slow first quarter, which saw yearly declines in net income and revenue, down 33% to PHP2.8 billion (US$45.9 million)1 PHP = 0.0164 USD

“Nonetheless, our fundamentals remain intact, and we remain confident in the long-term growth trajectory of the business as we adapt our payments ecosystem, strengthen player engagement, and continue to lead with responsible, innovative digital entertainment,” DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco said after the results release.

The Backstory
From bingo halls to faster livestream formats
DigiPlus Interactive’s launch of Bingo Speed is the latest step in a product strategy built around taking familiar Filipino gambling and amusement formats and reworking them for mobile-first play. The company’s BingoPlus platform was originally positioned around online bingo, a format with deep roots in the Philippines, but its recent releases show a broader push toward shorter sessions, automated mechanics and livestream entertainment designed to keep players active across more frequent rounds.
The new game follows the same pattern. Bingo Speed keeps the core bingo-hall mechanic but compresses play into one- to two-minute rounds, with automated card marking and faster number draws. That format reflects a wider shift in online gaming toward quick-cycle products that suit mobile users and allow operators to increase engagement without abandoning games players already understand. For DigiPlus, the commercial logic is clear: localized content can lower the barrier to adoption, while faster pacing can raise session frequency at a time when the company is trying to restore momentum after a weaker start to the year.
Localized games became the product engine
The Bingo Speed rollout builds on DigiPlus’ recent emphasis on games that translate Filipino mass-market entertainment into digital formats. That strategy was visible in the company’s release of Pinoy Drop Ball Turbo on the BingoPlus platform, an update to a livestreamed game inspired by traditional perya, or carnival, play. DigiPlus said that product came after research showing user demand for faster gameplay, leading the company to remove traditional bonus rounds and introduce a “Lightning Feature” in every round.
That earlier move helps explain the design logic behind Bingo Speed. DigiPlus is not only adding games; it is iterating around speed, simplicity and cultural familiarity. Pinoy Drop Ball Turbo showed the company was willing to streamline older entertainment formats to fit online consumption patterns. Bingo Speed applies the same principle to bingo, the platform’s core category, by reducing friction and giving players a faster alternative to existing livestream bingo products.
The company’s comments around both launches also point to a consistent positioning. DigiPlus has framed new products as examples of innovation grounded in local relevance rather than generic casino-style expansion. That distinction matters in the Philippines, where online gaming growth has been driven by brands that can feel mainstream and culturally recognizable. For BingoPlus, offering bingo, carnival-style drop ball and arcade-style games under one brand creates a cross-sell environment while preserving a local identity.
Financial pressure sharpened the need to refresh engagement
The timing of Bingo Speed is important because DigiPlus has been working through a period of operating pressure. The company reported first-quarter declines in both net income and revenue, saying e-wallet restrictions had affected user activity and transaction flows. Net income fell 33% year over year to 2.8 billion Philippine pesos, while revenue declined 25% to 17.2 billion pesos.
Those figures put more weight on product launches. For an online operator, payment disruption can weaken both deposits and play frequency, even when brand demand remains intact. DigiPlus has said its fundamentals remain sound, but the company also acknowledged the need to adapt its payments ecosystem, strengthen engagement and continue product development. Bingo Speed fits that response because it targets player activity directly, offering shorter rounds and more interactive features at a time when operators are competing to keep users within regulated platforms.
Investor pressure has also intensified the focus on capital allocation and performance. A DigiPlus shareholder recently urged the board to undertake a substantial buyback, arguing that the company’s shares were trading at an “absurd” discount despite strong cash generation and a solid balance sheet. The investor letter, described in the push for a DigiPlus share repurchase, said the company had been heavily tested by e-wallet disruptions and broader macroeconomic headwinds but remained fundamentally intact.
That argument underscores the stakes behind the company’s product cadence. If management can show that payment-related weakness is temporary and that users continue to respond to new localized games, it strengthens the case that the business is recovering rather than structurally impaired. Bingo Speed is therefore more than a catalog addition; it is part of the evidence DigiPlus needs to present to consumers, regulators and investors that growth can resume.
A domestic base now supports overseas ambitions
While DigiPlus is refreshing its Philippine product suite, it is also building infrastructure for international expansion. The company recently said it would establish a Singapore-based subsidiary, DigiPlus Global Pte. Ltd., as a regional hub for strategic partnerships, talent acquisition and international growth. That plan, outlined in DigiPlus’ move to set up a Singapore office, positioned Singapore as a support center rather than an operating market, with the company saying it would not offer igaming products there.
DigiPlus later moved from plan to execution with the launch of its DigiPlus Global hub in Singapore. The hub is intended to serve as an administrative and management base for international business development, helping the company build relationships in regulated markets outside the Philippines. That distinction is central to the company’s expansion strategy: DigiPlus is seeking global reach while emphasizing compliance with local regulatory boundaries.
The Singapore hub also connects to DigiPlus’ Brazil ambitions. The company has secured an online gaming license in Brazil, a market that has attracted major international operators and suppliers as regulation takes shape. The permit gives DigiPlus a potential path to deploy sports betting and bingo products outside its home market. The company’s Brazil license was also reported by Inside Asian Gaming at this account of DigiPlus securing a Brazilian igaming license.
That international context adds another layer to Bingo Speed. Products refined in the Philippines can become templates for other regulated markets if they prove they can combine familiar formats, mobile usability and compliance-ready operations. Brazil has its own bingo history and sports betting demand, making DigiPlus’ experience in localized bingo potentially relevant beyond its domestic market, although market fit and regulation will determine how far that model can travel.
Bingo competition is becoming more platform-driven
DigiPlus’ bingo expansion also comes as global suppliers and operators invest in networked bingo technology. Playtech recently became the exclusive bingo supplier to SkillOnNet in Mexico and the UK after the operator migrated brands including PlayOjo and PlayUZU to Playtech’s iBingo platform. That deal, covered in Playtech’s expanded bingo partnership with SkillOnNet, highlighted the role of shared liquidity, engagement tools and network management in building scalable bingo operations.
The comparison is useful because it shows two different routes to the same objective. Playtech and SkillOnNet are leaning on pooled bingo rooms and supplier infrastructure across multiple brands and markets. DigiPlus, by contrast, has built around a consumer-facing local brand, with BingoPlus serving as the anchor for proprietary or adapted games. Both approaches reflect a market in which bingo is no longer just a standalone vertical; it is a platform product shaped by liquidity, content cadence, retention mechanics and payments access.
For DigiPlus, the immediate challenge is domestic recovery. Bingo Speed gives the company another fast-format title at a time when it needs to rebuild transaction flows and keep players engaged. The broader opportunity is to prove that its localized digital entertainment model can generate durable demand, support investor confidence and eventually travel into regulated markets abroad. The success of that strategy will depend less on any single game than on whether DigiPlus can keep converting familiar entertainment into repeatable, compliant and profitable online products.
