Sold out ICE Barcelona 2025 kicks off in its new home

After 11 years at Excel London, ICE has opened in its new home of Barcelona today, with organizers expecting a record attendance of 55,000-60,000. Tickets for the event are sold out.

The show is one of the biggest igaming events of the year, providing operators worldwide with networking opportunities and products to display.

The event will host several debates and conversations on prominent igaming topics, with Big Tech & Gaming’s Convergence: Innovations in Compliance & Player Protection among the panels taking place today.

The discussion will include the following speakers:

  • David Rebuck, Advisor to AGA and IC36O & Former Director – New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement
  • Jason Clairmont, Principal Evangelist, Betting & Gaming – Amazon Web Services
  • Laura McAllister Cox, Chief Compliance Officer – Rush Street Interactive, LP
  • Rhea Loney, Chief Compliance Officer – BetMGM

The debate will cover various topics, including the data transparency challenges facing U.S. operators with cashless payments and digital currencies, how to innovate in strict regulatory markets, and what big tech can learn from the gaming industry.

ICE is well known for its networking opportunities on the show floor and later in the evenings. Dedicated igaming parties are going to be hosted by Parimatch and Play n Go on Tuesday evening, with other networking events all over the city across the week.

While there have been plenty of celebrity speakers at ICE in the past, like former Barcelona and Real Madrid player Luis Figo at ICE 2024. ICE 2025 has its own collection of guest speakers. Most interestingly, Johnny 5 from the Short Circuit movie will speak to attendees. Nova Laboratories will host the event, so attendees should check out how the company brings this classic animated robot to life as a celebrity guest.
