SEGG Media announces launch of Sports.com in Mexico

Sports media group and owner of Lottery.com, SEGG Media Corporation, has launched Sports.com Studios in Mexico, establishing a new regional hub for sports and entertainment content.
The studio will focus on producing locally relevant programming to expand the company’s presence in the region. Its first project, Maximo Futbol, is a Spanish-language sports reality series set to premiere on September 30.
The series will spotlight athletes nationwide, including UVM Lynxes collegiate team members. While it has been created with a Mexican audience in mind, the program will also be distributed internationally through Sports.com.
Segg Media Chairman, President and Chief Executive Matthew McGahan said, “Launching content from Sports.com Studios in Mexico marks a pivotal moment in SEGG Media’s strategy. We are proving the strength of our ecosystem: Lottery.com operations provide a trusted consumer platform, Sports.com Studios generates content that deepens engagement, and together they create scalable opportunities for increased revenues, global expansion, and brand recognition. This is the blueprint for how the Company plans to rapidly deliver shareholder value and global brand growth.”
Tim Scoffman, Chief Executive of Sports.com and Lottery.com, added that the launch strengthened the group’s presence in LatAm, citing it as one of the fastest growing regions for digital lottery and sports entertainment.
Elsewhere in Mexico, there have been calls for an overhaul in gambling laws by Mexican online gambling regulators ahead of next year’s World Cup.
