Swedish igaming developer Gaming Corps has released Hoop Champion in Brazil and several European countries.

The game features Gaming Corps’ X-MY-WAY mechanic, which allows players to choose their own volatility. Through the game interface, this appears as using different types of shot positions on a basketball court. For example, shooting for three points will have a higher volatility than going for free throws.

Gaming Corps highlighted that several LatAm countries, such as Brazil, Colombia, and Chile host basketball games, which contributes to Statista estimations that basketball will generate revenue worth US$84.85 million by the end of 2025.

Head of Games at Gaming Corps, Connor Blinman, told COMPLETE iGAMING, “Basketball is popular in Latin America and the US, and we wanted to create a game that would appeal to these regions in particular. The X-MY-WAY mechanic gives players an unprecedented level of control over their gameplay, allowing them to choose their level of risk per shot, something never before attempted in this game category.

“This introduces a new and exciting element to the game, and we’re excited to see how it is received by players. We believe that this innovation will appeal not just to basketball fans but provide a more engaging, player-controlled experience to a wider audience with something new for the instant win games category.”

Gaming Corps titles recently became available in Brazil after the company partnered with igaming platform provider WA Technology late in February.
