Codere Online appoints new Chair of compliance committee

LatAm sports betting and igaming operator Codere Online has appointed AG Burnett as Chairman of its compliance committee.
Elsewhere, the company reported that all 24 agenda items at its annual general meeting were approved, confirming the renewal of its entire board of directors and maintaining its current composition.
Burnett’s appointment is effective from today (1 July). He takes over from Mark Dunn, who has held the role since 2022. Rafael Catalá and Yaiza Rodríguez will continue as committee members.
Burnett has over twenty years of experience in gaming regulation and law, having served as Chairman and Executive Director of the Nevada Gaming Control Board from 2012 to 2017.
He has also held positions within the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s corporate securities division and the Nevada Attorney General’s office.
He is a Partner at McDonald Carano, advising gambling industry clients on regulatory and compliance matters. He also holds advisory roles with industry groups such as the University of Las Vegas’ Boyd School of Law Gaming Law advisory board and the International Association of Gaming Advisors.
Codere Online acknowledged Dunn’s services and thanked him for supporting the company’s compliance efforts during his tenure on the committee.
