The Brazilian Football Confederation has extended its collaboration with data analyst Sportsradar to safeguard the integrity of Brazilian football.

The partnership, which will start at the beginning of the 2025 football season, will enhance Brazilian football’s resilience against match-fixing and encourage integrity and confidence during games.

Sportradar’s Universal Fraud Detection System will now oversee all Brazilian national championships, monitoring more than 8,200 men’s and women’s matches each year.

This alliance arrives at a timely moment: Sportradar’s 2024 Integrity in Action report, published earlier this year, found that there has been a 17% drop in fixed matches worldwide, while Brazil has recorded a significant 48% fall in suspicious cases, or 53 fewer compared to the prior year.

Brazilian Football Confederation President Ednaldo Rodrigues said, “Integrity is our priority. With Sportradar and FIFA, we’ll monitor over 10,000 matches this season, a milestone that strengthens our fight for a fairer sport.”

Since 2018, this partnership has been successful, uniting Sportradar’s international efforts with FIFA, UEFA, and CONMEBOL.

Andreas Krannich, Sportradar’s Executive Vice President, added, “This is the most comprehensive integrity coverage Brazilian football has ever seen, reinforcing our commitment to one of the world’s premier football nations.”
