Boldplay CEO and Director steps down

According to a press release from parent company Openbox Holdings Group, Valli Fragoso, the director and CEO of game studio Boldplay, will step down to pursue new opportunities. Openbox Holdings Group recently acquired the studio in October 2024. 

CEO of Openbox Holdings, Richard Hogg, said, “I, and the wider Openbox Holdings team, want to extend our warmest gratitude to Valli for her dedication and contributions to Boldplay. Over the last five years, she has made the studio an iGaming force to be reckoned with. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

The press release cites Fragoso as an essential factor behind the release of popular Boldplay games, Brute Force, Cam Carter and the Cursed Caves, Cyborg City, and Speed Heist. She steps down from the role she has held for five years. 

Boldplay was founded in 2019 and has partnered with brands worldwide, including BetMGM in the US and Apuesta Total in Peru.

Hogg added, “As Boldplay enters this new chapter, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to leverage our synergies to drive bold innovation and deliver exceptional value to our partners. Boldplay is stronger than ever, and this transition allows us to refine our focus on delivering exciting experiences and expanding market presence in 2025 and beyond.”
