Wyoming online sportsbook revenue up 8.8% year-over-year in January

Online sportsbooks in Wyoming generated U$2.8 million in gross gaming revenue in January, up 8.8% year-over-year.

Since the state legalized online sports betting in 2021, the Wyoming Gambling Commission has regulated the state’s sports betting industry. It also collects tax revenue from sportsbooks based on their profits.

Last month, online sports betting generated US$171,278 in tax revenue for the state and US$1.7 million in taxable gaming revenue.

Most wagers in January were placed at DraftKings, which received US$13.8 million in wagers in January, while BetMGM had US$4.9 million. Fanatics, which launched last year, produced US$1.1 million and Caesars took the lowest number of monthly wagers at US$867,821.
