Wyoming breaks sports betting handle record in December 2024

Wyoming sports betting handle for December 2024 reached over US$25 million, breaking the previous record of US$24.8 million in October 2024.
Cash payouts totaled just over US$24 million across all five online sports betting platforms. Online sports wagering created US$56,407 in taxable gaming revenue for December and US$28,493 in taxes.
December 2024 sports betting handle increased by over 10.5% compared to November 2024. However, taxable revenue dropped by 97.6% from US$2.4 million in November.
Sports bettors in Wyoming have five licensed online betting platforms to choose from. Legal wagering is regulated by the Wyoming Gaming Commission, which publishes monthly reports on wagering activity.
According to the December 2024 numbers, most Wyoming players choose to bet at DraftKings, which received over US$12.3 million in wagers. BetMGM was the second-most popular site, with US$5.7 million in wagers, while FanDuel took US$5.6 million. Fanatics Sportsbook handled over US$913,000, while Caesars handled just under US$610,000.
Elsewhere in the state, historic horse racing machines handle hit US$192 million in December, with over US$174 million paid out to players.
