The American Gaming Association has revealed that online gaming across the US generated US$21.54 billion in revenues over 2024.

That figure was a 24.6% rise from 2023 and helped drive overall gaming revenues up by 7.5% to US$71.92 billion across the US. The report suggests this growth was driven primarily by online sports betting.

While land-based gaming continued to produce the majority of revenues in 2024, contributing US$50.32 billion, or 70% of the total, online gaming increased its share to 30%. In 2023, that revenue share was below 25%.

Land-based casino revenues rose by just 0.6% compared to 2023.

According to the American Gaming Association, online gaming generates the most revenue in 13 US states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

As we build on this success, the AGA remains committed to fostering additional growth that benefits consumers, operators, and communities alike.”
