The UAE Lottery has announced it will join the World Lottery Association.

The lottery, operated by commercial gaming innovator The Game LLC, will have access to the network of 150 government-authorized lotteries that make up the WLA.

“Becoming a WLA member is a proud milestone for The UAE Lottery, which is committed to operational excellence, innovation in player experience, and advancing the regional regulated gaming sector,” Director of Lottery Operations Bishop Woosley said in a news release. “We are focused on delivering a world-class lottery experience within the Gulf region, while remaining aligned with the values the WLA upholds.”

Kevin Mullally, CEO of the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, said this was a significant step forward for the regulated gaming sector in the UAE.

“The UAE Lottery’s acceptance as a member highlights the effectiveness of our efforts to facilitate the development of a commercial regulated gaming sector specifically tailored for the UAE, while positioning the country as a proactive contributor to the WLA’s global collaboration initiatives,” he said.

The UAE Lottery, licensed by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, debuted in 2024 and became the UAE’s only federally licensed lottery.

Only UAE lottery tickets can be bought on the company’s website, but in February, the company announced that tickets would soon be available via an app and in retail locations.
