Stakelogic acquired by Sega Sammy Creation

Dutch game developer Stakelogic on Wednesday announced that it is now part of Sega Sammy Creation.
The deal combines Sega Sammy’s global distribution network with Stakelogic’s creative power for accelerated growth across regulated markets.
“Joining forces with Sega Sammy Creation opens a new chapter for our organization,” Stakelogic CEO Stephan van den Oetelaar said in a statement. “We have always believed our studio could reach even greater heights, and the great synergy between our teams is already driving new ideas that will benefit operators and players around the globe.”
Stakelogic announced an agreement to sell all of its equity shares to the Japanese entertainment conglomerate in July. At the time, Stakelogic stated that the transaction was to be done through holding company Sega Sammy Group for an enterprise value of €130 million (US$147 million)1 EUR = 1.1324 USD

The transaction is for Stakelogic’s catalog of online slot games, live casino studio capabilities, fast-growing hybrid game offering, and an in-house game development factory.
