Simon Johnson to lead Light & Wonder’s igaming business
Light & Wonder has announced that it has promoted Simon Johnson to the position of igaming CEO, citing its commitment to the igaming market.
Johnson is replacing Dylan Slaney, who previously led the igaming division. Last November Slaney announced his resignation after more than seven years with the company, including over three years as igaming CEO.
Since joining the company in 2017, Johnson has been involved in expanding the international commercial activities of Light & Wonder’s Gaming business. In his most recent position, he was the Senior Vice President and International Managing Director of the company.
In his new position, Johnson will report directly to Matt Wilson, President and CEO of Light & Wonder. He will also join the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
As CEO of igaming, Johnson is expected to bring much-needed experience in leading the company’s digital gaming efforts. He will also be responsible for identifying emerging opportunities in the industry.
