Joe Bennett, the Vice President of U.S. Operations for Instant Products for Scientific Games, will retire this year. Bryan Murphy, who most recently served as Director of Finishing and Logistics for the U.S., has been named as his replacement.

Bennett started at Scientific Games more than 30 years ago as a game programmer and was involved in developing security measures and instant scratch games. Instant games account for more than 70 percent of Scientific Games sales.

“Joe has consistently championed the highest standards of excellence,” John Schulz, President of Americas & Global Instant Products, said in a news release. “His leadership has driven innovation across our instant games portfolio, resulting in enhanced player experiences, trusted partnerships and support for the important good cause missions of our lottery customers.”

The appointment of Murphy as Bennet’s successor follows Scientific Games’ recent pattern of promoting people from within to fill higher positions. The company replaced its Lottery Systems Vice President with Patrick Homm, an internal appointment, in October.
