SBC Summit Americas opens in Florida this week

SBC Summit Americas will welcome around 10,000 industry professionals from across the Americas and further afield to the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this week.

Kicking off with an Opening Party at The Wharf on Tuesday evening, the event will then feature two days of conference sessions and networking on the 14 and 15 May, exploring the opportunities and challenges shaping the North and Latin American markets.

SBC Summit Americas will gather global and regional operators, affiliates, suppliers, regulators, tribal nations, media organizations, and national sports teams and leagues.

This year’s edition will also see the addition of two industry-focused side summits – the Affiliate Leaders Summit and the Payment Expert Summit. Each will feature a dedicated show floor and conference track.

Commenting on the upcoming event, SBC Chief Executive and Founder Rasmus Sojmark said: “Our previous America-focused events – SBC Summit North America and SBC Summit Latinoamérica – really helped us understand the market’s unique dynamics and the issues that matter most to delegates, laying a strong foundation for what’s ahead. 

“With the addition of dedicated affiliate and payment summits, a larger show floor, and an expanded conference agenda, there’s truly something for everyone, whatever your focus.”

Across the two main event days on Wednesday and Thursday, delegates will have the chance to gain insights and strategic guidance from 250 industry experts across a dynamic five-stage conference programme.

The agenda also includes two regionally focused stages covering the latest developments in North America and Latin America. Additionally, attendees can attend a Player Protection Symposium. 

The conference will open with a keynote from Florida Gaming Control Commission Vice Chair Julie Brown. Across the two days it will also feature high-profile voices such as DraftKings Chief Responsible Gaming Officer Lori Kalani, BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Casey Hurbis, and Fanatics Betting and Gaming Chief Business Officer Ari Borod.

Moreoever there will be talks by notable leaders including Wplay President Julio César Tamayo Betancur, FairPlay Sports Media Chief Executive Stuart Simms, Delaware North Chief Interactive Officer (Gaming) Lee Terfloth, Catena Media Chief Executive Manuel Stan, Betfred US Chief Executive and Chair Kresimir Spajic, Apuesta Total Chief Executive Gonzalo Pérez, and Great Canadian Entertainment Chief Legal Officer Katie Lever.

Delegates will have the chance to engage with hundreds of regional and global brands, including BetConstruct, BetMGM, Caesars Entertainment, Digitain, Flashscore, Optimove, Pay4Fun, Pragmatic Play, Trustly, and more.

Networking highlights include the Global Gaming Women Breakfast Meetup and the African Americans in Gaming Meetup. Additionally, delegates can enjoy a scenic Water Taxi Happy Hour, running across both event days. The SBC Americas Awards (separate ticket required) will take place on Wednesday.

The summit wraps up on Thursday, 15 May, with the Infinity Florida closing party – headlined by EDM star Steve Aoki at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
