Online casino product design, market regulation and new technology are on prominent display at SBC Summit 2026, which has been running from 29 September and ends today, 1 October, at Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena. Organizers said they were expecting 40,000 delegates and list 800 exhibitors and sponsors across four halls and judging by the footfall they will not be disappointed.

The most focused day for online casino teams was 30 September, when the Technology & Innovation Stage hosted its iGaming Product & Design track. Sessions examined whether “invisible KYC” can simplify registration without weakening compliance, how AI and player data are changing game design and how operators can provide a consistent experience across mobile, web and apps. A Marketing & CX track runs today, covering acquisition, campaigns and the use of AI in marketing.

On the exhibition floor, the Casino & iGaming area spans halls 1, 2 and 4, bringing together game studios, live casino providers and companies offering tools for player engagement and retention. A new Product Innovation Showcase Stage hosts live demonstrations and launches. The Payment Expert Summit, part of the main event, adds payment, identity and fraud prevention specialists.

Regulation also runs through the conference. The Regulation & Compliance Stage has been addressing global rules, player protection and compliance technology. For businesses tracking expansion, the Global & Emerging Markets Stage has been covering emerging markets, Western Europe and Latin America. New regional Regulatory Gaming Meet-Ups have been connecting attendees with regulators, legal specialists and industry peers, with access limited to those with a Networking, Business or VIP pass.

SBC has also made the Affiliate Leaders Summit a standalone event alongside the main summit, with its own exhibition and conference program, requiring a separate ticket. Today, a separately ticketed Global Prediction Markets Forum at Lisbon’s Myriad Hotel examines legal definitions, regulation and practical questions facing operators considering the sector.
