RubyPlay launches independent game studio Koala Games
Igaming content supplier RubyPlay has launched Koala Games, an independent studio to broaden its product line and creative output.
Although the studio will operate independently, it will have access to RubyPlay’s infrastructure, distribution channels, and market support.
Koala Games will debut with three titles: Voltage Blitz Vortex, Voltage Blitz Egypt, and 3 Big Barrels Buffalo. The games have been developed with a focus on fast-paced gameplay and visual design.
The studio has brought in talent from the social casino sector and will focus on player engagement, user experience, and alternative creative approaches to RubyPlay’s broader ecosystem.
RubyPlay said the launch is part of a broader diversification strategy, allowing the company to test new creative directions while continuing to release core titles under the RubyPlay brand.
Koala Games’ development is being led separately from RubyPlay’s main team and is expected to support faster innovation by focusing on niche segments and alternative design approaches.
The news follows RubyPlay’s expansion in the North American regulated market. The group recently launched its portfolio of games in New Jersey through its partnership with online operator BetMGM.
