Rhode Island igaming revenue up 128% YoY in April

Online gaming revenue in Rhode Island hit US$4.7 million last month, the second highest figure since the state became the seventh to launch igaming in March 2024.

This month’s figure is also up 128% compared to last year, when it was US$2 million.

According to a report published by Rhode Island Lottery, slots produced the majority of combined net gaming revenue, at US$3.6 million. This was up from April 2024, when it reported US$1.3 million of NGR, which represents a 171.1% year-on-year increase.

Likewise, table games also experienced an increase in NGR for April, rising from US$740,579 to US$1.1 million, a 50% year-on-year increase.

Compared to March 2025, which reported the highest igaming revenue figure in the state, NGR declined from US$5.1 million to US$4.7 million, representing a month-on-month drop of 7.3%.

Table games NGR also decreased month-on-month, falling from US$1.5 million to US$1.1 million, while slots reported a revenue increase, rising from US$3.5 million to US$3.6 million.

In recent news, a Rhode Island bill that sought to criminalize those under 21 for online gambling has been scheduled for reconsideration after being defeated in the House Judiciary Committee. The bill was scheduled for a revote on 29 April.
