Pragmatic Play to launch its first live poker titles

Online game developer Pragmatic Play has revealed that it will launch two live poker games, the first time the company has produced live poker content.
The two new games are Casino Hold’em and Jacks or Better Draw Poker. Both will be customizable through the Pragmatic Play Smart Studio, which allows operators to create bespoke playing experiences and branded settings.
The first to be launched is Casino Hold’em, based on the well-known casino game in which players challenge the dealer to see who has the best five-card hand.
The second release, Jacks or Better Draw Poker, will launch at the start of July. This game is a recognisable variant of draw poker in which players receive five cards and can choose to keep or discard as they try to create the strongest hand.
Both games will also give players a shot at the jackpot side bet of up to x20,000, which will pay out if a player hits a straight, a straight flush, or four of a kind on the flop. According to Pragmatic Play, the maximum jackpot win will be landed roughly once every 45 days.
Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, said, “Poker is an exciting addition to Pragmatic Play’s live casino portfolio. Featuring fast-paced gameplay, jackpot wins of up to 20,000x, and Smart Studio customisation, Casino Hold’em and Jacks or Better Draw Poker are set to bring a new dynamic to online casinos.”
In February, Pragmatic Play also announced that it had extended its partnership with Nevada-based casino developer Galaxy Gaming for an additional five years.
