Playtech announces John Gleasure as Non-Executive Director and Chairman Elect

Playtech’s Board of Directors has appointed DAZN executive John Gleasure as its new independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman Elect, replacing Brian Mattingly.
Gleasure is expected to assume the role after Playtech’s general annual meeting in May, where Mattingly will step down from the Board of Directors.
After commenting on the changes, Mattingley said, “We are very pleased to welcome John to our board as a new Non-Executive Director and Chairman Elect. John’s significant experience and knowledge will be a tremendous asset for Playtech as it continues its transformation into a predominantly pure-play B2B business. I look forward to giving him every support during this period of transition.”
Gleasure brings 30 years of experience to the role. He has held various positions at DAZN Group, where he has been a Non-Executive Director since November 2022, and is Executive Chairman at The Sporting News.
He was a founder of Perform, a digital sports media business, growing growing the business before the it was listed in 2011. He previously held leadership roles at Sky Sports, Hutchison 3G and Sony Pictures
As a Non-Executive Director, Gleasure will receive an annual fee of £140,000. (US$186,000)1 GBP = 1.3266 USD
