Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reports record igaming revenue in December

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, which is responsible for licensing and regulating casino and sports betting operators within the state, has reported record monthly igaming revenue for December.
Revenue for all licensed igaming platforms reached over US$223.6 million, significantly higher than the previous record of over US$200.4 million set the month before.
The total regulated gaming revenue, which includes sports betting, fantasy contests, and retail casinos, was over US$530 million, just slightly below the total figure for December 2023.
Although total revenue decreased compared to last year, igaming revenue increased by more than 35% year-on-year. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board also released revenue figures broken down by game type. Retail slot machines generated the most revenue in December 2024, totalling more than US$200 million. However, this amount was down 2.74% from last year. On the other hand, online slots generated more than US$164 million, a 40% increase from December 2023.
