PAGCOR launches site to tackle illegal gaming

Philippine gaming regulator PAGCOR has announced the launch of a new website designed to fight illegal gambling platforms.
The PAGCOR Guarantee site aims to provide a reliable reference point for the public to check whether an online gaming operator is legitimate. It will feature a frequently updated list of licensed gaming companies, as well as links to those sites.
Speaking about the new website, PAGCOR Chairman and Chief Executive Alejandro H. Tengco, said it demonstrated his organization’s commitment to promoting safer gambling.
“By providing the public with a quick and accessible way to check a site’s legitimacy, we are empowering them to make informed decisions and avoid falling victim to fraudsters and scammers,” he said.
Tengco also urged the public to verify that any platform they were using to gamble was legitimate before signing up.
Tengco added, “Illegal online gaming sites not only endanger players but also erode public trust and deprive the government of vital revenues. The PAGCOR Guarantee is a key component of our regulatory framework to protect both the industry and the Filipino people.”
The launch comes amid growing concerns over the proliferation of overseas and illegal gaming sites targeting the Philippines.
The Philippine Senate also recently passed the Anti-POGO Act of 2025, intended to strengthen the ban on POGOs, or Philippine offshore gambling operators.
