The global gambling market is predicted to be worth US$153.57 billion in 2030, according to research by market analysts Research Insights.

According to the analysts, global gambling market revenue is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 11.7% through the rest of the decade.

The research says broader use of mobile devices and cultural and legislative changes will make online gambling easier to access.

Research Insights conducted an in-depth assessment of market trends, considering various factors, including the influence of geography, changing technology, and the liberalization of gambling laws in multiple jurisdictions.

Their research highlighted a growth in the use of online gambling platforms, with factors such as convenience and accessibility driving this increase.

In particular, the analysis showed significant increases in the use of smartphones to gamble, facilitated by the spread of faster internet connections worldwide.

The Research Insights analysis also noted an increase in the use of social features by online gambling operators, including chat rooms and leaderboards, which, they say, could drive player engagement and create loyalty to a particular gambling brand.

Additionally, the estimate of a compound annual growth rate of 11.7% is significantly larger than the 8.1% growth predicted in another report posted by market research firm Technavio earlier in the year.

However, Grand View Research made a very similar prediction in early May.
