Ohio generates US$114 million from online sports betting in November

The Ohio Casino Control Commission released its casino figures for November 2024 at the turn of the year, revealing that casinos collected US$84.3 million in revenue, an increase of over US$1 million month-on-month. Meanwhile, the November 2024 revenue figures showed revenues had grown by almost 5 percent year-on-year.
Online sports betting revenue stood at US$114.2 million for November 2024, while overall sports betting revenue hit US$117 million, its second-highest total in history, only behind the first month of betting in Ohio in January 2023. That revenue figure was a sharp incline of 43.6% from October, as, like many US states, Ohio’s sports betting revenues were lower than expected in October. However, it also showed a 71.6% increase year-on-year.
These revenues came from a sports betting handle of US$1.02 billion, which is also the second-highest in Ohio history, once again trailing January 2023. The November 2024 handle was the second-highest in state history from October 2024, marking consecutive months of hitting this landmark.
FanDuel and DraftKings contributed over 67% of the state-wide sports betting handle, with FanDuel generating US$351.1 million and DraftKings adding US$329.8 million.
