North Carolina bettors to wager on Super Bowl for the first time

For the first time, residents of North Carolina will be able to bet on the Super Bowl this year as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The state approved legal sports betting in 2024, and the North Carolina Lottery Commission regulates and licenses its sports betting operators.
Bettors in the state above the age of 21 can sign up to one of the eight licensed betting platforms, including Fanatics, BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings, Bet365, Caesars, ESPN BET, and Underdog, to place bets online.
Each sportsbook will offer the latest Super Bowl odds, including moneyline, point spread, and total bets.
According to the North Carolina Lottery Commission, the state’s legal framework helps to make betting safer and more enjoyable.
North Carolina Lottery Commission Chief Regulatory Officer, Sterl Carpenter, said, “The benefits of legal sports wagering are that it happens under strong regulations that protect the person placing a bet, ensuring they get their winnings and that their personal information is protected. If you choose to bet on the Super Bowl, do it legally with one of the eight licensed operators in North Carolina.”
