New Jersey online gaming revenue climbs 28.5% YoY in May

New Jersey online gaming revenue rose from US$192.1 million to US$246.8 million in May, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 28.5%.

Figures published by the state’s gambling regulator, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, also showed that the year-to-date revenue figure increased year-on-year, rising from US$942.8 million to US$1.2 billion, an increase of 22.5%.

Eight casinos in New Jersey offer online gaming, including Bally’s Atlantic City, Borgata Casino & Spa, Golden Nugget Atlantic City, Hard Rock Atlantic City, Harrah’s Atlantic City, Ocean Casino Resort, Resorts Casino Hotel, and Tropicana Casino & Resort.

Seven of these showed an increase in revenue from May 2024. Golden Nugget Atlantic City reported the highest revenue of the month, rising from US$54.5 million to US$75.6 million, a year-on-year increase of 38.8%.

Borgata Hotel Casino claimed second place in the rankings, growing its revenue from US$44 million to US$57.1 million, a 32.6% increase. Even the lowest-earning casino, Harrahs, showed a significant rise of over 100%, from US$1.5 million to US$3.2 million.

The one casino to show a decline was Ocean Casino Resort, whose revenue fell from US$6.9 million in May 2024 to US$5.2, a year-on-year decline of 23.9%.
