Michigan regulator targets another four online operators with cease-and-desists

The Michigan Gaming Control Board has placed cease-and-desist orders on four online gambling operators, You Wager, Bet Pop Casino, Wager 7, and Discount Wager, for illegally offering services to Michigan residents.
While many online gaming platforms are legitimate and operate with state licenses, these platforms violated various Michigan regulations, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code.
All four operators were found to have operated either a sportsbook, online casino, or both in Michigan, offering players the chance to gamble on various sporting events as well as casino-style games such as slots, roulette, blackjack, poker, and more.
Michigan Gaming Control Board investigations found these operators accepted wagers without authorization, risking consumer safety with weak responsible gaming measures and no dispute resolution.
Michigan Gaming Control Board Executive Director Henry Williams said, “Illegal gambling operations prey on vulnerable consumers and undermine the integrity of the regulated gaming industry. Michigan residents deserve the protections that come with licensed, legal gaming. We will continue to take strong action against those who skirt the law.”
The operators have fourteen days to stop operating in Michigan, or more action will be taken with the Michigan Department of Attorney General.
