Michigan regulator cracks down on 14 illegal offshore operators

The Michigan Gaming Control Board has issued 14 offshore gambling companies with cease-and-desist orders for unlawfully targeting residents of the state.
The platforms listed are BetFlip, BetMania, Casino Castle, Casino Extreme, Casobet Casino, EmuCasino, Golden Lion, Gossip Slots, Irish Luck Casino, Juicy Stakes.com, Juicy Stakes.eu, Lotus Asia Casino, Red Lion Casino, and SlotGems Casino.
According to the gambling regulator, the operators offered online casino games and sports betting without the required licenses under Michigan law. The regulator found that they had violated several laws, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code.
“These sites operate in the shadows of the law, offering no guarantees to players and no accountability to the public,” said Michigan Gaming Control Board Executive Director Henry Williams. “The MGCB’s enforcement efforts are both relentless and unwavering. We will continue to identify and take action against illegal gambling operations that threaten the integrity of our regulated market and place Michigan residents at risk.”
Each operator has been told to stop all operations involving Michigan residents within 14 days or face further legal action, in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Attorney General.
