The Michigan Gaming Control Board has launched its most extensive enforcement action against illegal igaming, sending cease-and-desist letters to 19 unlicensed operators.

“Illegal gambling operators threaten the safety of our citizens and the integrity of our gaming industry,” Henry Williams, MGCB Executive Director, said in a statement. “When companies offer games without proper licensing, Michigan players are left without the critical protections they deserve. That’s unacceptable, and we’re taking strong action to stop it.”

Sites such as Ignition Casino, Jackpot Capital, Red Stag Casino, Café Casino, and Eclipse Casino are operators receiving notices. These platforms were found to violate Michigan’s Lawful Internet Gaming Act, Lawful Sports Betting Act, and other related laws and have been ordered to halt activity immediately.

In addition to the 19 operators who received cease-and-desist orders, the MGCB highlighted additional platforms, including BoVegas Casino and BUSR, that are being investigated for providing unlawful betting and casino-style games to players in Michigan.

Officials warned that, without regulatory monitoring, unauthorized websites put users at risk for fraud, unfair games, and unpaid winnings.

Operators in Michigan have fourteen days to stop their operations or risk additional legal consequences, including potential enforcement in coordination with the Michigan Department of Attorney General.
