Light & Wonder reports record-breaking US$3.2 billion full-year revenue

Light & Wonder has reported it generated US$3.2 billion in full-year consolidated revenue, a 10% annual rise, and a new record for the company.

Gaming revenue was up 12%, increasing to US$2.1 billion. This was primarily driven by gaming machine sales, which increased by 22% thanks to market share gains in North America and Australia.

Online gambling revenue for Light & Wonder also increased by 9% in 2024, hitting US$29 million.  Operating income saw growth of 29%, along with consolidated AEBITDA, which grew 11%, and adjusted NPATA with a 24% rise.

Meanwhile, Light & Wonder’s social casino game developer SciPlay generated revenues of US$821 million in 2024, up 6% compared to 2023. Direct to consumer revenues from SciPlay accounted for 11% of SciPlay’s total revenue.

In comparison, fourth-quarter revenue rose from US$770 million to US$797 million, a 4% year-over-year increase, and net income increased from US$67 million to US$107 million.

Present and Chief Executive Officer of Light & Wonder, Matt Wilson, said, “We ended a strong 2024 with continued double-digit revenue and earnings growth for the year. The gaming machine sales share gains in North America and Australia this year are a testament to our R&D investment, commercial strategy and robust product roadmap.

Our recently announced strategic acquisition of Grover Gaming’s charitable business enhances our cross-platform strategy and presence in regulated land-based markets, giving us a broader distribution base for our vast content library and accelerating our drive for sustainable future growth.”
