Online prediction platform Kalshi has confirmed a partnership with Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI, bringing the Grok chatbox to Kalshi’s trading platform.

Kalshi announced the partnership on the Musk-owned social media site X, saying, “Effective immediately, Kalshi and xAI are partnering to bring Grok to prediction markets. Two of the fastest-growing companies in America are now on the same team.”

Grok will be integrated into Kalshi’s prediction platform, which will help users make informed decisions while trading in real time by analyzing news, historical data, and economic indicators.

The New York-based prediction market operator is currently regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and offers a range of markets, including the US presidential election.

In May, Bloomberg reported the partnership between Musk and Kalshi, but Kalshi rescinded the statement shortly after.

This isn’t the only partnership between Musk and a prediction platform. In June, Kalshi competitor Polymarket announced that it would also be joining forces with X to help provide Polymarket users with data-driven insights.

In recent weeks, Polymarket has also acquired financial exchange and clearing house QCEX for US$112 million. Through this acquisition, Polymarket will have access to a Commodity Futures Trading Commission licensed operation, enabling the prediction platform to re-establish itself in the US-regulated market.
