Jackpocket hits Mega Millions record with US$112 million winner

Jackpocket’s multijurisdictional lottery game Mega Millions will pay out US$112 million to its first jackpot winner of the year in Arizona.
Jackpocket is a lottery subsidiary of American igaming operator DraftKings. It marks Jackpocket’s highest win from a Mega Millions ticket since its launch.
Alec Thomson, Executive Director of Arizona Lottery, said, “We are thrilled that an Arizona Lottery player won the first Mega Millions jackpot of the year and grateful to our network of 3,500+ retailers. Through their efforts, the Arizona Lottery can fund vital programs and services that benefit communities throughout the state.”
Jackpocket is available in 19 states. The app offers users lottery tickets from Mega Millions, Powerball, and any local state lotteries.
DraftKings acquired Jackpocket in February 2024 in a US$750 million deal. Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of DraftKings, Jason Robins, said at the time, “We are very excited to enter the rapidly growing U.S. digital lottery vertical with our acquisition of Jackpocket. This transaction will create significant value for DraftKings not only by giving our customers another differentiated product to enjoy but also by improving our overall marketing efficiency similar to how our daily fantasy sports database created an advantage for DraftKings in OSB and igaming.”
