Iowa online sports betting handle hits over US$203 million in February 2025

Iowa online sportsbooks generated a handle of US$203.5 million in February 2024, dropping marginally from the US$203.8 million reported in the previous year.

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission currently licenses 13 online sportsbooks in Iowa, including Caesars Sportsbook, Bally Bet, FanDuel, BetMGM, Circa Sports, DraftKings, Q Sportsbook, Bet365, ESPN Bet, Fanatics Sportsbook, Rush Street Interactive, Hard Rock Sportsbook, and Sporttrade Iowa.

Combined online net receipts totaled US$20.9 million last month, a rise from February 2024 which generated US$13.8 million. In contrast, online payouts declined year-on-year dropping from US$190 million to US$182.5 million.

DraftKings was the most popular sportsbook among Iowa bettors in February, producing a handle of US$75.2 million, a decline from February 2024 which generated a handle of US$81.3 million, but online net receipts rose from US$5.9 million to US$7.7 million year-on-year.

In addition to February’s sports betting figures, a handle of US$1.9 billion has been generated so far in Iowa’s full-year 2025, with US$1.7 billion being produced in online payouts and US$155.8 million in online net receipts.
