The Intralot press release said, “INTRALOT clarifies that no binding agreement of this kind exists. Currently INTRALOT is not conducting any negotiations relating to any acquisition in Australia.”

In April, the company issued a similar notice clarifying that it is not involved in a cross-border merger.

Intralot operates lottery services and other gambling worldwide, including in the US. The company recently announced an extension of its contract with the New Hampshire Lottery to provide the state’s lottery services until 2033.

The company is best known in the US for its role in GambetDC, the former exclusive provider of district-wide online sports betting in Washington, D.C. The company recently settled a lawsuit with the Washington, D.C., Council and paid $5 million for defrauding the council over the lottery and sports betting services it provided. Intralot denied wrongdoing.
