Commenting on the announcement, High Roller Chief Executive Officer Ben Clemes said, “The submission of our licensing application to access Ontario’s regulated online gambling market is an important milestone in our company’s journey. Once our application is approved, we anticipate that we will have the opportunity to launch our online casino product into the market later this year.”

Clemes added, “Ontario is missing an elegant brand like High Roller. We’re excited to roll out the red carpet for our new customers, and we’re looking forward to showcasing our tremendous product.”

In addition to Ontario, High Roller has expressed interest in expanding into Alberta. The province recently passed Bill 48, also known as the igaming Alberta Act, with the launch of Canada’s second regulated market expected as early as 2026.

Ontario recorded its second best month for igaming revenue last month since launching in 2022. Figures released by the market’s managing organization, Ontario iGaming, showed that the sector generated C$313.3 million in non-adjusted gross gaming revenue in April, up 6% from March.
