Hard Rock Bet says 56% of bets back Kansas City
Online sportsbook operator Hard Rock Bet says 56% of bettors have backed the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX on the moneyline.
That trend extends across every state Hard Rock Bet operates except for in New Jersey, where 69% of bettors are backing the Eagles to win, with the Eagles’ home stadium Lincoln Financial Field close to the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border.
Hard Rock Bet is the exclusive provider of sports betting in Florida. All 10 of the largest counties in Florida saw more bets on the Chiefs than the Eagles.
The sportsbook also released details on betting demographics, revealing 53.9% of men backed the Chiefs, while 58.6% of women wagered on the team.
Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is having a significant influence on Super Bowl LIX betting, with operators like DraftKings Oregon offering Swift-themed wagers.
Analysts from Macquarie Equity Research estimate $1.7 billion will be spent in legal wagers on the Big Game.
