FanDuel launches problem gambling recovery show hosted by Craig Carton
FanDuel is tackling the stigma around problem gambling with a new show that interviews those who are in recovery, hosted by Responsible Gambling Ambassador Craig Carton.
The Comeback With Craig Carton will air monthly on operator’s media channel FanDuel TV Extra, as well as being streamed live on its YouTube channel.
Regarding the launch of the show, Carton said, “As someone who has personally navigated the challenges of gambling addiction, I understand the impact it can have on your life and the lives of those you care about.
“The road to recovery isn’t easy, but I’ve committed myself to helping others who are facing similar struggles. My mission for this show is to inspire hope, offer support, and remind everyone that the path to regaining control starts with understanding.”
The first episode of the show is already available online and sees Carton speaking to former NBA player Randy Livingston about his history with gambling and recovery from addiction.
As well as highlighting the real experiences of those who have faced gambling addiction, the show will discuss tools and support services available to bettors seeking help.
FanDuel’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Sustainability Cory Fox added, “Our hope for The Comeback With Craig Carton is to raise awareness of problem gambling and foster open dialogue to tackle the stigma that still exists today. Whether those conversations are amongst friends, spouses, parents or coaches, we want to educate our audience on what the warning signs are and be comfortable asking for help.”
