Fanatics inks outsourcing deal with Philippines-based Claymore Solutions
Fanatics Betting & Gaming has outsourced a significant proportion of its back-office function to the Philippines via a partnership with PAGCOR-accredited business process outsourcing company Claymore Solutions.
Claymore Solutions provides HR, payroll, and fully branded office spaces to clients, as well as assisting with recruitment.
The Philippine government’s ban on POGOs, or Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations, has displaced over 40,000 Filipinos from gaming-related jobs. However, Claymore aims to restore employment to those affected by the ban through its partnerships with legitimate operators.
PAGCOR chair Al Tengco said, “We are witnessing the beginning of a transformative chapter in the Philippine BPO sector, with Special Class BPOs like Claymore leading the charge.”
To celebrate the partnership, executives from Fanatics and Claymore Solutions attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Claymore’s Fanatics Betting & Gaming office in Taguig City.
Fanatics’ Chief Technology Officer Ian Botts and Chief Financial Officer Andrea Ellis were joined at the ceremony by co-founders of Claymore Solutions Paul Fox and Nathan Kinsella.
Fox said, “Claymore will deliver thousands of high-quality jobs to Filipinos by supporting the growth of reputable gaming operators worldwide.
“We are honored by the support of President Marcos and the continued support of PAGCOR, particularly Chairman Al Tengco, whose vision has been crucial in positioning the Philippines as a trusted hub for global gaming support.”
The Philippines continues to crackdown on any remaining POGO operators, with several policy makers recently renewing efforts to pass an Anti-POGO Act, to prevent the re-emergence of illegal POGO-like operations in the wider region.
