Safer gambling consultancy EPIC Global Solutions has partnered with daily fantasy sports operator Underdog to elevate responsible gaming education through focused training and workshops.

The framework centers on training Underdog’s customer-facing staff to recognize the signs of potentially harmful gaming behaviors.

EPIC consultants, including Stevin ‘Hedake’ Smith, a former NCAA and NBA point guard, and retired boxer Liz Thielen, will conduct the training, combining their own experiences with gaming-related harm.

The gaming-neutral workshops enabled staff to see the human side of the gambling-related concerns. The sessions emphasized communication methods and recommendations to stimulate sustainable management and improve customer protection.

EPIC’s VP North America, Teresa Fiore, noted, “We’re very pleased with the positive start to our working relationship with Underdog. They have a deep understanding that responsible gaming practices must be at the core for any major operator, and it’s a constant and consistent process of learning and attentiveness.”
