DraftKings will renew its State Council Funding Program, as it continues its commitment to responsible gaming initiatives.

DraftKings’ State Council Funding Program was launched in 2022 and has supported educational campaigns and training programs for state councils and the National Council on Problem Gambling throughout the US.

It has provided over US$2 million in funding to date and over US$500,000 is expected to be distributed to 34 state problem gambling councils in 2025.

Maryland Council on Problem Gambling is an example of an area that has benefited from these initiatives where funding helped develop infographics to enhance their marketing efforts and expand outreach in the area.

DraftKings’ Chief Responsible Gaming Officer, Lori Kalani, said, “At DraftKings, Responsible Gaming is fundamental to our mission, and we are committed to making tools, resources, and education available to all our players to help them play responsibly.”

DraftKings is also developing responsible gaming awareness by providing initiatives like My Stat Sheet. This tool provides users with charts and data offering personalized insights such as time spent gaming, net wins or losses, and wagers placed.

In addition, DraftKings has announced that its national responsible gaming advertising campaign will be launched during Problem Gambling Awareness Month. With branding support from the NFL and NBA, the campaign will convey the importance of setting limits and making informed choices regarding gambling.
