Dr. Laila Mintas to join board of European T20 Premier League partner Rules X

Sports technology expert Dr. Laila Mintas will join the board of Rules X, an operating partner of the new European T20 Premier League cricket competition.
According to the Rules X announcement, Mintas has a 20-year history of facilitating technological change throughout the sports industry. She has previously worked with CONCACAF, Sportradar, and FIFA.
“Cricket is experiencing phenomenal global growth, and the European T20 Premier League, under Rules X, represents a monumental opportunity to transform the fan experience through cutting-edge innovation, technology and strategic partnerships,” Mintas said in a news release. “I am incredibly thrilled to join the Board at this pivotal moment, contributing to a league that truly embraces the future of sports.”
The European T20 Premier League will launch next year and is being advertised as a world-class cricket tournament taking place at iconic European venues.

The league, which was first discussed in 2019, will feature six teams from Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands.
