Baseball star Derek Jeter joins BetMGM as brand ambassador
BetMGM has named baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter a brand ambassador.
Starting today, the five-time World Series champion will debut for BetMGM in a national marketing campaign, including the Legendary Plays spot.
Along with his appearances in advertising and at VIP events, BetMGM Casino is planning an exclusive Jeter-themed slot game, the first online casino game featuring a current or former baseball player.
“BetMGM’s commitment to excellence and overall approach help them stand out as an innovator in their space. They have worked hard to create a real community in their audience. I look forward to working with their team to build connections within their base of players and support the company’s continued growth,” Jeter said.
Jeter is one of Major League Baseball’s most famous figures. In his time with the New York Yankees, he registered over 3,000 hits, earned 14 All-Star selections, and was awarded five Gold Gloves.
Jeter is far from the first famous athlete to sign with BetMGM as a brand ambassador. The company already has partnerships with NHL great Wayne Gretzky, former soccer goalkeeper Tim Howard, and NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders.
The sportsbook operator also recently became the official betting partner of the Las Vegas Aces, continuing to strengthen its ties to professional sports in the US.
