Delaware igaming revenue rises 90% year-on-year in April

The online gaming sector in Delaware generated US$8.4 million in net revenue in April, a 90% increase compared to the US$4.4 million posted the previous year.
The figures were published by Delaware Lottery and Gaming, which oversees the online gaming and sports betting sectors in the state.
All three of the state’s licensed racetrack casinos, which also operate igaming and sports betting, showed a significant increase in revenue year-on-year.
Delaware Park‘s revenue rose from US$2 million to US$4.29 million year-on-year, a massive increase of 115%. Harrington and Bally’s Dover also showed significant rises of 63% and 76% respectively.
Slots gaming contributed the most to the total figure in April. The combined net revenue from online slots across all three operators was US$5.88 million, compared to US$2.57 million for table games.
For the current financial year ending in July, online gaming in Delaware has already generated US$69.08 million in net revenue, compared to US$31.94 million for 2023-2024.
Delaware legalized online gaming in 2012, making it one of the first states to embrace internet gambling. It also launched legal sports betting in 2018.
