Online gaming compliance and cybersecurity provider Continent 8 is set to launch a data center and managed professional services for online sportsbooks in Missouri.

Continent 8 said it’s technology will aid fast deployment of “secure, resilient, zero-compromise” gaming platforms as the state prepares to introduce online sports betting.

Missouri online sports betting was voted through by an extremely narrow margin in November 2024, but has yet to launch.

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Continent 8 Technologies, Michael Tobin, said, “The approval of Missouri Amendment 2 highlights the continuous growth of the regulated and highly competitive US online sports betting market. We are thrilled to already be engaged with numerous customers and actively preparing their environments for the soon-to-open market.”

The Missouri sports betting market has to go live by December 1, 2025, according to Amendment 2, the ballot measure approved by voters to legalize online sports betting.

However, the launch is likely to come earlier, as despite Secretary of State Denny Hoskins rejecting Missouri Gaming Commission emergency rules to get sports betting launched in the summer, the target is now fall 2025.

Alongside its services in Missouri, Continent 8 operates in more than 30 US states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan.
