One page, three doors. Story explains the thinking, philosophy and attitude behind CiG, and how we do things differently. Team is the work-hard, play-hard crew behind it (plus one entity nobody recalls meeting). Contact goes straight to real people who actually want to hear from you. Pick a button, have a wander.
COMPLETE iGAMING (CiG) is a shiny new igaming media brand soft launched on 6 January 2025, just in time for the move of major international gaming trade show ICE to Barcelona!
We publish our daily newsletter six days a week — Monday to Saturday — which issues at 9am New York time. On weekdays, you’ll find the six most important online gaming news items of the day, and on Saturdays, we publish Ranked, our wrap-up of the week’s six most important stories, as voted for by our audience through their clicks.
Brought to you by Complete Media Group, which owns CDC Gaming and Inside Asian Gaming, we aim do things differently here at COMPLETE iGAMING.
First, we never copy content from other media outlets – sadly, a rampant practice in gaming industry media. We don’t even aggregate content. Every single story you read on COMPLETE iGAMING was written from scratch by a COMPLETE iGAMING writer, from an idea developed by COMPLETE iGAMING, from the original source. All original content!
Second, COMPLETE iGAMING and its parent company have a slogan and a philosophy of “Regional expertise, worldwide.” What does this mean? Read on …
COMPLETE iGAMING focuses on igaming in the Americas and the Asia-Pacific regions, not Europe (or Africa for that matter)! Why? Because that’s where our expertise lies. Our Americas team of around 25 people is based in eight different US states, Canada and South America – and somehow we ended up with a couple in the UK that we’ve been working with for nearly a decade now! We’ve been operating B2B gaming media in the Americas since 2002, so we know our stuff when it comes to North and Latin America.
Similarly, our Asia-Pacific team, also around 25 people, operates out of Manila, Macau, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. We’ve been operating B2B gaming media in APAC since 2005, so we know the landscape and we’re trusted partners of many Asian gaming industry suppliers and operators.
Does COMPLETE iGAMING cover Europe? Yes, of course we do, but only when it has an impact on or relevance to igaming in the Americas and APAC. And of course, Europe houses the head offices of many global igaming companies, so it often can have such an impact.
The third way we are different is our long and unblemished track record of honesty, trustworthiness and integrity. Let’s be honest, the igaming industry contains its fair share of fly-by-night operators, people who talk a big game but are light on delivery, and even companies that just disappear overnight! Here at COMPLETE iGAMING we’re in this for the long run, and reputation is everything. When we give you a business card, it actually has our surname and real phone number on it! Our DNA is from two B2B gaming media companies with solid track records of 20+ years each. To us, there is nothing more important than our integrity – doing the right thing when we know no one is watching.
Another way COMPLETE iGAMING stands out from the crowd is in its look and feel. We haven’t used yet another boring, cluttered I’ve-seen-this-before WordPress theme, but instead our own in-house IT gurus have custom-developed a unique COMPLETE iGAMING presentation style, complete with our cool teal background, a color rarely seen on the internet.
Senior members of the COMPLETE iGAMING team, from both sides of the Pacific, get together in person five times a year – at ICE Barcelona in late January, SBC Americas in Miami in mid-May, IAG EXPO in Manila in early September, and SBC in Lisbon and G2E in Las Vegas in late September. We’d be delighted to meet you at any of these tradeshows in person, or at any other time.
We’re a work-hard, play-hard crew here at COMPLETE iGAMING, but you really thought we worked 365 days a year?! Er, no. Our newsroom takes off over Easter and for two weeks at year-end for internal planning and because, let’s be honest, nobody’s sending news to our inboxes then anyway.
That said, we’ll still show up in your inbox during the year-end break with a special series on the year’s top stories. Let’s face it, your inbox would be lonely without our presence.
Because we’re in it for the long run and super on top of things, our holiday dates for the next half decade are as follows:
- 2026: Fri Apr 3 to Mon Apr 6, Sat Dec 19 to Sun Jan 3, 2027
- 2027: Fri Mar 26 to Mon Mar 29, Sat Dec 18 to Sun Jan 2, 2028
- 2028: Fri Apr 14 to Mon Apr 17, Wed Dec 20 to Mon Jan 1, 2029
- 2029: Fri Mar 30 to Mon Apr 2, Thu Dec 20 to Tue Jan 1, 2030
- 2030: Fri Apr 19 to Mon Apr 22, Fri Dec 20 to Wed Jan 1, 2031

COMPLETE iGAMING is owned by the COMPLETE MEDIA GROUP, a new B2B gaming industry media and events company founded on 1 January 2025 as a result of the merger of Inside Asian Gaming (IAG) and CDC Gaming. See completemedia.group for more.
Inside Asian Gaming (founded 2005) is the premier B2B land-based gaming industry media and events brand of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, covering gaming from the Middle East to the International Date Line, a total of 67 countries and territories. See asgam.com for more.
CDC Gaming (founded 2002) is the premier B2B land-based gaming industry media of the Americas, covering gaming from the International Date Line to the mid-Atlantic, that is the United States, Canada and Latin America (including the Caribbean), along with the surrounding islands of the western Pacific and eastern Atlantic. See cdcgaming.com for more.
Andrew W Scott
Andrew W. Scott is the Australia-born casino tragic who somehow turned decades of gambling, globe-trotting and “research” in over 200 casinos into running Asia’s most influential gaming media group. Now CEO of Complete Media Group and Vice Chairman & CEO of Inside Asian Gaming, he’s gone from player to publisher, shaping industry debate with equal parts insight and mischief.
Former accountant and high-stakes poker player, and continuing industry commentator, conference ringmaster and serial entrepreneur, Andrew now connects East and West with sharp analysis, sharper opinions and a Rolodex that frightens multinational corporations. Based in Macau, he still treats airports like second homes. Or maybe first.
Cory J Roberts
Cory acquired his first computer at seven after repeatedly breaking the family one wore his parents down. His gambling introduction followed shortly after when Pokemon Red inexplicably included pachislot. This sealed his fate: within a year of graduating university, Cory entered gambling media and has on occasions looked back.
After marrying a Chinese international student, Cory redesigned CDC Gaming‘s website, brand, and reports before aiding the merger with Inside Asian Gaming—turns out his Asian partnerships started personal, then professional.
As COO and CTO of Complete Media Group, Cory drives the company’s technology vision. Still breaking things, just more strategically.
Scott J Messinger
Let’s face it, this Scott has been round the block more than once.
First 20 years for two of the top ad agencies of the era marketing everything from Colgate toothpaste to Mercedes Benz.
Then helping launch an early dotcom leading pet health care website.
Then despite being a kid from the beach and no gaming interest went to Vegas, Macao and Singapore for the company that changed the face of the Integrated Resort.
Honing his craft he finally was ready for IAG, CMG and CiG whilst keeping an eye on the other Scotts and finding other ways to contribute.
Michael Reardon
Michael is a Melbourne native who has spent more than three decades roaming the world’s casinos, from Macau and Monte Carlo to Las Vegas, London and well beyond, with a decades-long side interest in online sports wagering.
Around the industry since 1994, he joined the Complete Media Group ecosystem in 2009 and has been part of the furniture ever since. A former handy fast-medium bowler and lifelong cricket tragic, Michael has played in Australia and England, taken a hat-trick, and will happily cross the planet at short notice if there’s a proper contest between bat and ball at the other end.
These days he allegedly keeps things running in a somewhat orderly fashion at CiG!
Kelsey Wilhelm
Kelsey Wilhelm leads the direction of CiG’s reporting, including which stories from our American and Asian contributors make it into your inbox, and which are quietly escorted to the cutting room floor. He grew up in Macau and watched the Cotai Strip transform from swampy nothingness into the most lucrative casino district on Earth, which is a fairly decent front-row seat to gaming industry history. Once it became tragically clear that his band was not going to pay the bills, Kelsey turned to journalism and somehow crammed 15 years of newspapers, magazines and television into a career that moved unreasonably quickly from reporter to editor, anchor and talk show host.
These days, Kelsey brings that experience to the fast-paced madness of the iGaming world, which he has passionately covered for several years with support — though probably not strategic guidance — from his single-brain-celled cats. He still makes allegedly awesome music, which one day may be released to the general public, pending legal advice regarding duty of care to his listeners.
Hannah Gannagé-Stewart
Hannah Gannagé Stewart is a journalist with over 15 years’ experience, including eight years turning the chaos of igaming, regulation and tech into stories people actually want to read. At CiG, she brings sharp analysis, dry wit and a knack for spotting industry nonsense from a mile away.
Her body of work spans everything from crypto hype to regulatory and legal drama, usually for publications that prefer facts over buzzwords. Known for her straight-talking style and ability to make complex topics feel human, Hannah writes from a mystery location somewhere near the Welsh borders. Away from her desk, she keeps up with a strong-willed toddler and an energetic border terrier, and routinely escapes via wild swims in freezing local lakes.
Ben Blaschke
Ben Blaschke somehow took a perfectly sensible start in rugby league journalism in the late 1990s and turned it into a career deep inside the global gambling industry. He first made his name covering league, where clarity, consistency and actually understanding the sport set him apart, before drifting into mainstream sports media and then, unexpectedly, poker — becoming one of a small, respected group covering the Australian and later global poker scene before most people realized it was a thing.
With Complete Media Group since 2013, and Managing Editor of Inside Asian Gaming since 2016, Ben brings order, judgement and deadlines to one of the world’s most complex industries, shaping editorial strategy and cutting through regulatory fog and corporate spin. Outside work, he is incapable of ignoring live sport and is usually accompanied by his loyal canine sidekick, Willow.
Scott Long
Scott Long caught the gambling bug early, even wearing “casino carpet” fashion on his 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. A political journalism major, he wrote a “Vegas on $30 a Day” column, back when that was remotely plausible, then fronted the Ante Up PokerCast. He and his co-host parlayed that into Ante Up Poker Media LLC, publishing Ante Up magazine, one of North America’s most distributed poker magazines.
He later stepped away for civic work and to found Quoz Creative LLC, producing events including a Guinness World Record watermelon eating contest. CDC Gaming lured him back to curate the afternoon Last Call and contribute to Complete iGaming, where he continues to learn how many “worlds” gaming actually contains.
Jadeson Ho
Jadeson Ho is Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Inside Asian Gaming (IAG), where he somehow turns casual chats into strategic partnerships and industry events into actual business. He leads IAG’s advertising, partnerships and growth across digital, print and the gaming industry’s favourite social settings, and does the same for CiG’s Asia-Pacific facing customers.
Known for working a room like it’s a competitive sport, Jadeson connects operators, suppliers and anyone else standing close enough, and has a well-earned reputation for facilitating introductions and making things happen when needed. A Queen Mary University of London graduate fluent in English and Cantonese, he bridges markets and cultures and makes introductions with ease, usually accompanied by a laugh.
real_teal
real_teal publishes CiG announcements and files stories from a location known internally as “The Teal Desk,” said to be hidden somewhere within the CiG bunker, though no one seems certain where either place is. Emails arrive at strange hours. Announcements appear already polished. Major updates go live with surgical precision. Nobody recalls meeting him, yet his access is universal and his copy unmistakable — concise, controlled and entirely original.
He does not attend trade shows, at least not visibly, and never appears on video calls. Still, when something important happens, real_teal already seems to know. Rumor suggests past lives in finance, fashion or intelligence analysis. Perhaps all three.
No chatbots. No runaround. Just two fields and real people who actually want to hear from you.
Your note goes directly to Kelsey, Michael, Cory, and Scott. real_teal has been known to snoop.
