Colorado online sports betting reaches US$60.8 million revenue in January

Colorado hit US$60.8 million in online sports betting gross gaming revenue in January, according to figures from the state’s Department of Revenue.
Total net sports betting proceeds for licensed online sportsbooks in Colorado reached US$45.4 million in January, which was up by over 17.8% from the US$38.5 million generated in January 2024.
Since sports betting was legalized in May 2020, the Colorado Division of Gaming has licensed 13 legal online sportsbooks and eight retail locations.
Total tax revenue from sports betting exceeded US$4.4 million for January.
The data also shows that the most money wagered at Colorado sportsbooks was on professional basketball, with an online total of US$177.1 million and more than 27% of the total wagers.
Meanwhile, the second most popular sport to bet on was pro football, with online bets totaling US$118.1 million. The other sports in the top five include NCAA basketball, table tennis, and tennis.
