The inaugural CiG iDEA Summit will dig into two of Asia-Pacific gaming’s most pressing questions – how to enter the Philippines, why the Philippines at all – in a dedicated session at Newport World Resorts on Monday 14 September.

Running from 10:30 to 11:15am and sponsored by QTech Games, the panel will be moderated by Ben Blaschke, Group Managing Editor APAC for Complete iGaming and Managing Editor of sister publication Inside Asian Gaming.

Marie Antonette “Tonet” Quiogue, Founder and CEO of Arden Consult, the summit’s Official Legal Partner and a firm specializing in igaming, fintech and payments regulation across Asia-Pacific joins as a key panelist. Quiogue has closely tracked PAGCOR’s overhaul of its B2B supplier framework, warning in a recent Arden Consult analysis that operators delaying accreditation face “huge” regulatory and commercial risk.

Rounding out the panel is Richard Howarth, GLI’s Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, who oversees the testing lab group’s operations in locations as diverse as Adelaide and Macau. Howarth led GLI to become the first gaming testing company accredited by PAGCOR as an Independent Testing Laboratory and continues to advise the regulator directly on standards as it rolls out its Minimum Guaranteed Fee and rebate caps for licensed online operators.

Presented by Complete iGaming as part of the wider IAG EXPO, which runs 14 to 17 September at Newport World Resorts, the session arrives as PAGCOR presses ahead with its new regulatory framework, while other Asia-Pacific markets, including New Zealand, edge toward regulation of their own.
