Filipino hotel and casino company Bloomberry Resorts Corp plans to launch an online gaming platform to tackle lost revenue because of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators ban.

“In a bid to secure the long-term success of our business, we seek to further increase our presence in mass market gaming through a new electronic gaming product. Launching in the second quarter of 2025, this new mainstream brand will complement Solaire and is anticipated to bring our brand of online gaming entertainment to Filipinos nationwide,” Bloomberry chairman Enrique Razon Jr., said during its annual stockholders’ meeting.

The product will be available for Filipino players in May or June, with Razon Jr. saying the igaming platform was undergoing extensive testing.

“With our best-in-class integrated resort products and expanded exposure to online gaming, we have an unrivaled and highly diverse portfolio of revenue sources that will solidify our position as the top gaming firm in the Philippines and the region,” Razon added.

In addition to Bloomberry’s Solaire Resort North project, the group is aiming to cash in on the Philippines’ growing economy. PAGCOR president and Chief Executive Officer Alejandro Tengco announced in February that the igaming sector is expected to reach between PHP450 billion (US$7.99 billion)1 PHP = 0.0178 USD
