Arizona sports betting revenue rockets upward

Sportsbooks in Arizona reported a 106% increase in revenue for November, posting US$84.1 million for the month.
Handle also rose significantly, the US$898 million tally representing a 26% boost. Books held at an average of 9.4%, according the results published yesterday (February 26).
Nearly a third of all sports betting revenue dollars went back to players in the form of free play and promotions. The US$26.6 million in promos was a percentage drop from November 2023, when it constituted fully half of revenue.
DraftKings retained a third of handle share from 2023, seeing US$293 million wagered at its sites. FanDuel lost share, to come in second with US$288 million. It had the leading handle share in late 2023.
BetMGM saw US$111 million in handle, followed by Caesars Sportsbook’s US$52 million and Bet365 with US$39 million. ESPN Bet was sixth with US$28 million wagered.
Despite being the runner-up in handle, FanDuel garnered the most revenue: US$29.9 million. DraftKings’ win came in at US$25.7 million.
BetMGM grossed US$12.2 million while Caesars Sportsbook made US$4 million. Bet365 bested ESPN Bet, US$3.2 million to US$2.3 million.
